We got rained out last month, but we're back on track for this weekend to wrap up work on opening a brand-new spur trail near Quarry Park. There will also be opportunities for the usual clipping and trimming in advance of the spring growth spurt.
April 13 - Meet at the RTF Tool Shed at 2030 Morton Drive (past Bodo's and behind the English Inn) at 8:45 AM to help us gather tools, from where we will carpool to the work site to accomplish incredible things, and finish up at about 11:30. If you prefer to meet directly at the work site, look for us in the parking lot at the west side of the Quarry Park ball fields, at the bridge over Moore's Creek.
Please wear work gloves and clothes suitable for getting dirty in a forest environment.
We will have tools you can use, as well as some gloves for those who need them, but if you bring your own tools - such as hand clippers, long-handled loppers, or a pruning or bow saw - be sure to label them with your name.
If you are coming as part of a large group or have questions, please email us at info@rivannatrails.org so we can be prepared to keep everyone busy and equipped with tools.
