Please join us for this month's Second Saturday work party. We are continuing last month's big project, on the trail segment between Rt 20 and Woolen Mills. We need your help with a wheelbarrow and bucket brigade to spread gravel and dirt over some of the rockiest terrain on the whole RT. Twenty-two tons of material was delivered last month, and we need to continue moving and spreading what remains down the trail. We need a lot of help - the more people we have, the quicker we can complete the project.

Saturday, November 11 - To maximize time on the trail, we'll meet directly at the Wool Factory, 1837 Broadway Street, at 8:45am in front of the footbridge over the river. Please meet us at the work site, not the RTF tool shed. If you arrive late, cross the footbridge, turn right, and continue along the Rivanna Trail for about a mile until you reach the large gravel pile and busy volunteers.

Please wear work gloves and clothes suitable for getting dirty in a forest environment. We will have tools and wheelbarrows you can use, as well as gloves for those who need them.
