Connecting Communities with Trails and Greenways

  • 08 Nov 2017
  • 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Jeferson School African American Heritage Center

We invite you to join the Piedmont Environmental Council and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission as they begin a series of community conversations about ways for Charlottesville and Albemarle to develop a bicycle and pedestrian greenway system in the urban core that links together places where people live, work, shop, and play.

Speakers Chuck Flink, one of the nation’s leading designers of greenway systems, and Max Hepp-Buchanan, director of Bike Walk RVA, will discuss the community benefits of greenways and provide concrete examples of successful approaches.

This event will take place on Wednesday, November 8 from 6 PM - 8 PM at the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center. It is free and made possible by a grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
